I was gifted a range of products from the @crave.since2017 stall at the latest @halaalgoodsmarket . I chowed all the Masala Bor before taking a pic 🤳. The Sour Figs made a great topping for cream cheese; the flavor of sauce they are drenched in is a Golden Ratio of sweet and sour. The Paan Mix topped a round of Camembert. For the Gouda triangles I wanted to make the famous cranberry walnut coating, but lacked all the ingredients; what I did instead worked tops: a teaspoon of honey, a teaspoon of Apricot Jam, a teaspoon of Pomegranate Molasses (purchased at the deli section of The Schwarma Co) and enough Red Wine Vinegar (yup it’s Halal 👍🏼) to taste. Drop 50 g of chopped walnuts into this viscous Amber fluid and coat well. Spoon over slabs of Gouda cheese. I served these with toasted mini pita quarters, as well as some dips and olives.
